Abstract

The condition of the skin was much improved in 158 patients with acne by adequate doses of the vitamin B complex by mouth, and of liver extracts, including the skin or S-factor (Kutapressin, Kremers-Urban Co., Milwaukee), by injection, with a balanced diet, and HCl when required. Infection was controlled with antibiotics and sulphonamides, and steps were taken to reduce nervous tension as far as possible. Relapse was common after withdrawal of the vitamins, but improvement occurred again when the treatment was renewed.-L. Wills.
